1. Top sheet 
The top sheet  is directly in contact with human skin, so it is required to be dry, comfortable and soft. In the process of using diapers, urine needs to pass through the top sheet quickly, so top sheet  should have good hydrophilicity, and can be penetrated for many times with less reosmosis. At present, the face layer of nappies on the market mainly adopts spunbond and hot air nonwoven fabric. Ten years ago, 80% of the top sheet of nappies was spunbonded nonwovens. In recent years, people's pursuit for the soft comfort of nappies has become more and more intense. Because of its fluffy and soft characteristics, hot-air nonwovens have been increasingly applied to the surface layer. However, spunbonded nonwovens are still one of the main surface materials because of their high strength, good water absorption and dry comfort. Through the improvement of formula and equipment, the softness of spunbonded nonwovens is greatly improved, but the fluffiness is still inferior to that of hot-air nonwovens. Multiple penetration speed, dry, soft, cotton feeling is the development trend of the surface.
2. back sheet
The function of the back sheet is to prevent urine leakage. In the early stage, diapers mainly used PE film as the boack sheet . With the increasing demand of consumers for comfort, the composite back sheet  of nonwoven cloth and PE film came into being. The softness of the back sheet is one of the important bases for consumers to judge the softness of diapers. Therefore, in addition to the characteristics of impermeability, less fleece and good strength, the nonwoven fabric of the back sheet should also have the soft touch like fabric and wear resistance. At present, because of its low cost, good wear resistance, softness and lightness, spunbonded nonwovens are the main materials for back sheet  nonwovens. However, due to the soft and fluffy characteristics of hot-air nonwovens, many nappies in recent years have switched to hot-air nonwovens for the bottom layer. However, hot-air nonwovens are made of short fibers, so the shaping effect of hot-air nonwovens is not as good as that of spunbonded nonwovens, and the fuzz is slightly worse than that of spunbonded nonwovens. In recent years, many hot air nonwovens manufacturers have greatly reduced flaring by adding ironing rolls and other processes. Soft, cotton texture, wear-resistant, light and light is the development direction of the back sheet .

3. Waistband

The nonwovens used for the waistband of pull-a-pants should have the characteristics of good strength, less flaring and strong fabric feeling. Currently, the main use is spunbonded nonwovens. Some enterprises try to use elastic film and hot air nonwovens for waist circumference, but the strength of hot air nonwovens after the seam bonding is weak. In addition, hot air nonwovens, although relatively fluffy, are used for waist circumference is thicker, there is no special feel, so it is not the main material for waist circumference optimization at present. Soft and fluffy, wear-resistant, good air permeability is the development trend of waistline.
4. Leg cuff
The main function of leak-proof edge is to prevent urine from leaking out from both sides. Therefore, the nonwovens used for leak-proof edge must have good water resistance, high strength and softness. At present, the main use is spunmelt nonwovens (SMS). With high barrier, soft, cotton texture, light and light is the development trend of leakage proof edge.
5. Core wrapping layer
The main function of the core coating is to prevent SAP and fluff from loose and leaking, and the material with good covering, hydrophilic and soft should be selected. It used to be toilet paper. However, due to the poor wet strength of toilet paper, it is easy to break after absorbing water, so more and more core cladding using spinning melt nonwovens at present. Good wet strength, soft, hydrophilic, low reosmosis is the development trend of core coating.
6. Diversion layer
The diversion layer is located below the surface layer and its function is to accelerate the penetration and diffusion of the liquid and reduce the seepage of the liquid. The nonwovens used in the diversion layer should have the characteristics of hydrophilic, fast liquid penetration and good liquid diffusing. In the early days, spunbonded nonwovens or perforated film were used as the guide layer, but in recent years, hot air nonwovens or chemically bonded nonwovens are mainly used. In order to improve the visual effect, nonwovens with different colors are also used as the guide layer. It is the development trend of the diversion layer to increase the diversion speed, expand the diversion area and make the liquid evenly distributed.
7. Front waist paste
The front waist paste should have the characteristics of high strength, easy paste, no hair, high peeling strength and so on. In the past, most of the materials were spuncoated nonwovens and film composite, or spuncoated nonwovens and film composite and re-embossed. Due to the high cost, they were gradually replaced by spuncoated nonwovens. High strength, comfortable feel, beautiful and generous is the development direction of the front waist paste.
8, Side Tape
Side tape  should have the characteristics of high strength, good uniformity, soft and comfortable. In the past, spunlaced nonwovens were mostly used, but because of the lower cost of spunfused nonwovens, they have become the mainstream of the market.
